A pair of veteran college players out of the WPIAL are receiving Power Four interest in the transfer portal.

Redshirt seniors Marques Watson-Trent from Blackhawk High School and Deamontae Diggs out of McKeesport High School have recently picked up offers from Power Four programs.

Watson-Trent — a 5-foot-11, 225-pound linebacker — is coming off an impressive season with Georgia Southern in which he won the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year and a Conference First Team selection. He posted 120 total tackles (52 solo), 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.

Since entering the portal, Watson-Trent has collected offers from West Virginia, Florida State and Memphis. On3 rates Watson-Trent as an 87 overall three-star in the portal and as the 39th-ranked linebacker.

Watson-Trent has recorded three-straight seasons of 100-plus tackles. In 2024, he recorded 13 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

Diggs — a 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive lineman — is looking to land at his third school after one season at Coastal Carolina. After entering the portal on Dec. 25 with one year of eligibility remaining, Diggs has picked up offers from Kansas, Purdue, UNLV and James Madison.

With the Chanticleers, Diggs played in all 13 games, posting 35 total tackles (18 solo) with 6.5 tackles for loss and five sacks. On3 rates him as an 86 overall three-star in the portal.

Prior to Coastal Carolina, Diggs played in 23 games at Youngstown State between the 2023 and 2022 seasons, totaling 26 tackles, six sacks and four tackles for loss.
