For the second time in a week, a top WPIAL talent is on the move.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that blue-chip 2027 running back Sa’Nir Brooks intends to leave Aliquippa High School and will be transferring to St. Frances Academy a private school in Baltimore, Maryland.

Last week, Pittsburgh Sports Now was first to report that 2027 running back Jance Henry, Jr. withdrew from Central Valley High School and is headed to Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio.

This is a big loss for the Aliquippa Quips football team as Brooks was expected to replace running back Tiqwai Hayes, who’s headed to Penn State, as the face of the Quips offense.

Despite not getting the bulk of the carries because of Hayes, college programs recognized the talent that Brooks possess, which resulted in a number of Power 4 offers. At this stage of his recruitment, Brooks holds offers from Pitt, West Virginia, Syracuse, Michigan State, Miami Ohio and Akron.

This past season, Brooks carried the ball 90 times for 621 yards (6.9 yards/carry).

Brooks is headed to one of the highest profile football schools on the East Coast in St. Frances Academy, which produces a number of Power 4 prospects every season.

The departure of both Brooks and Henry are two big losses for the talent bases in the WPIAL.
