Tamarion Crumpley — a 6-foot-1, 195-pound cornerback from Cincinnati, Ohio — announced Monday on social media that he’s entered the transfer portal after four seasons with the program.

Crumpley is the second cornerback from the class of 2021, along with Noah Biglow, to enter the portal this offseason.
Tamarion Crumpley (6-foot-1, 195 pounds) initially committed to Pitt — after decommitting from Minnesota earlier in his process — over offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue, Wake Forest, Washington State and West Virginia.
He flashed potential during his time in Pittsburgh, but he was ultimately never able to work his way onto the field in an extended role.
Crumpley recorded six tackles (five solo) and an interception returned for a touchdown this season, serving primarily in a reserve defensive back role. He played in 11 games this season.

Pitt will return the majority of its cornerback depth next season, with Ryland Gandy, Rashad Battle and Tamon Lynum all retaining eligibility. Shadarian Harrison is in line for an increased role next season now.
