Pitt’s odds to win the ACC have improved since the beginning of the season because of the Panthers’ strong start.

According to Fanduel Sportsbook, Pitt is +1400 to win the ACC regular season title. Duke is the favorite to win the league at -330, while Clemson has the second-best odds at +550. Pitt now has better odds than North Carolina (+1600) to win the league, according to Fanduel.

Pitt is currently 11-2 on the season and 2-0 in ACC play. Pitt is one of six teams with at least two wins in ACC play so far, along with Duke, Clemson, SMU, Wake Forest, and Louisville. Duke and Clemson are both 3-0 in ACC play, while the Panthers are yet to play their third league game.

Pitt’s ACC wins have come on the road against Virginia Tech and at home against California. In the win over California, Jaland Lowe, Cam Corhen, and Beebah Cummings led the way, scoring wise, for Pitt, adding 27, 19, and 15 points, respectively. Corhen grabbed a team-best 11 rebounds in the win to finish with a double double.

Pitt’s next game will come on Saturday, Jan. 4 against Stanford at the Petersen Events Center. That game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.

Upon the release of the NET rankings in early December, Pitt was ranked in the top-5 of the rankings. The rankings have loved Pitt’s wins over West Virginia and Ohio State, among others. The Panthers dominated West Virginia earlier this season, and now, the Mountaineers have improved their record to 9-2 and sit at No. 29 in the rankings. Ohio State is currently 8-4 on the year, ranked No. 22 in the NET rankings. Pitt beat Ohio State in Columbus on Black Friday this season.
