Recapping Busy Day of Pitt Offers for Promising HS Recruits

Pitt is focused on the transfer portal, adding eight recruits over the last few days, and while there’s an emphasis on the portal, that doesn’t mean high school recruits have been forgotten.

Pat Narduzzi has said that high school recruiting will continue to be a priority for him and the Pitt coaches, and the coaching staff extended a bunch of offers to recruits in the classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028 over the last couple of days.

As the transfer portal slows down in the weeks ahead, and Junior Day gets underway this week, high school recruiting will take center stage. So, here’s the latest crop of high schoolers to receive Pitt offers.

2026

Omari Stephenson — linebacker

Stephenson (6-foot-1, 200 pounds) is a rising senior at Thomas County Central High in Thomasville, Ga. He holds offers from Cal and Pitt.

Benjamin Corhei — offensive lineman

Corhei (6-foot-5, 280 pounds) is a rising senior at Lowndes High in Valdosta, Ga. He holds offers from Florida State, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Liberty, Ole Miss, UCF and USF.

2027

JayQuan Snell — four-star athlete

Snell (6-foot-3, 175 pounds) is a rising junior from Waxahachie High in Waxahachie, Tx. He holds offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, Houston, Missouri, Pitt, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, San Diego State, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UCF, USC, UTSA and Washington State.

Jayce Johnson — quarterback

Johnson (6-foot-3, 195 pounds) is a rising junior from Lowndes High in Valdosta, Ga. He holds offers from Florida, FAU, Florida State, Indiana, Pitt, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

George Lamons Jr. — five-star athlete

Lamons (6-foot-4, 215 pounds) is a rising junior from Brooks County High in Quitman, Ga. He holds offers from Cincinnati, Duke, ECU, Florida, FAU, Florida State, Georgia, Liberty, Louisville, Miami, Pitt, Tennessee, UCF and Wisconsin.

Jerry Meyer III — quarterback

Meyer (5-foot-11, 170 pounds) is a rising junior at Waxahachie in Waxahachie, Tx. He holds offers from Baylor, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Purdue, SMU, TCU, Texas State, Texas Tech, UNLV and Washington State.

Jabari Watkins — athlete

Watkins (6-foot-2, 180 pounds) is a rising junior at Thomas County Central High in Thomasville, Ga. He holds offers from Charlotte, Kentucky, Pitt and UCF.

Malik Muhammad — outside linebacker

Muhammad (6-foot-4, 200 pounds) is a rising sophomore from Worth County High in Sylvester, Ga. He picked up his first Division I offer from Pitt.

Zakari Johnson — athlete

Johnson (6-foot, 175 pounds) is a rising sophomore at Plantation High in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He holds offers from Pitt and USF.
