Recapping Busy Day of Pitt Offers on Wednesday

The focus of the Pitt football staff this week has been recruiting for their Class of 2026 and beyond.

The Panther coaches are spending time in their major recruiting territories talking with high school coaches, players and handing out a number of offers.

While they were in many other states too, Georgia was a popular state in terms of offers on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the offers continued to go out with Maryland receiving plenty of attention.

Here’s a Day in Review of Pitt recruiting on Wednesday and the offers that went out.

Maryland:
Caden Cashman– 2027 Athlete (6’3″, 215-pounds), McDonough School, Owings Mills, Maryland. 1st D-1 offer.

Carlos Ferguson– 2027 Wide Receiver (6’5″, 185-pounds), McDonough School, Owings Mills, Maryland, 1st D-1 offer.

Joseph Buchanan III- 2027 Defensive End (6’4″, 230-pound), McDonough School, Owings Mills, Maryland. Offers from Boston College, Syracuse, Maryland and Penn State.

Lamarcus Dillard- 2026 Interior Offensive Lineman (6’3″, 295-pounds), Rock Creek Christian Academy in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Offers from West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Maryland, Marshall and Charlotte.

Edward Baker– 2026 Interior Offensive Lineman (6’3″, 330-pounds), St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. Offers from Alabama, Boston College, Marshall, Maryland, NC State, Toledo, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M.

RJ Cruz III– 2028 Offensive Lineman (6’3″, 270-pounds), McDonough School, Owings Mills, Maryland. This becomes his 2nd offer (Maryland).

Alexander Taylor– 2027 Defensive End (6’3″, 230-pounds), St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. Offers from Miami, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Maryland and Auburn.

Michael Nnabuife– 2027 Tight End (6’5″, 230-pounds), St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. This becomes his second offer (UTEP).

Destin Mitchell– 2026 Defensive End (6’3″, 235-pounds), Concordia Prep in Towson, Maryland. Offers from Florida State, Penn State, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Charles Ricco Davis, Jr.– 2028 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back, McDonough School, Owings Mills, Maryland. 1st D-1 offer.

Damon Hall Jr.– 2026 Tight End (6’5″, 205-pounds), St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. Currently Committed to Maryland. Also holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Michigan and South Carolina.

Florida: 
Neimann Lawrence– 2028 Quarterback (6’1″, 175-pounds), Miami, Florida. Offers from Georgia, Auburn, South Florida, Colorado, Florida State, Ohio State, TCU, Arkansas, West Virginia, Central Florida, Nebraska and Miami.

A’Mir Sears– 2028 Athlete (6’1″, 175-pounds), Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Offers from Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Miami, South Florida, Texas A&M and Washington.

Georgia: 
Kaevone Thomas– 2028 Wide Receiver from Valdosta, Georgia. 1st D-1 offer.

Texas:
Lzayah Lee– 2026 Running Back from Lancaster, Texas. Offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Boston College, Louisville, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Oregon, SMU, TCU, Central Florida, Utah and Wisconsin.

Jeremiah Smith– 2026 Linebacker from Katy, Texas. 1st D-1 Offer.

Jordan Burnett- 2026 Offensive Tackle (6’5″, 330-pounds) from Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas. Burnett received his first offer on January 7th from TCU.

Avery Morcho– 2026 Offensive Tackle (6’6″, 270-pounds) from Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas. Morcho holds offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Florida State, Houston, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt.
