Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt coaching staff are back in town following a long and busy week of recruiting high school players.
Starting on Monday and continuing all throughout the week, Pitt recruited and extended offers to players in the classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028. While many recruiting territories were visited, many offers went out to players in Texas, Georgia, Maryland, Florida and Pennsylvania.

The Pitt offers continued today, headlined by an offer to 2028 quarterback James Armstrong from Hopewell High School.

Here is a rundown of other offers that were extended on Friday by Pitt.
Alexander Haskell- 2026 3-star defensive lineman from St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia. Holds offers from Pitt, Akron, Duke, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Calvin Thomas– 2026 inside linebacker from Cypress Ranch High School in Cypress, Texas. Holds offers from Pitt and Duke.
Bryce Smalls- 2028 offensive tackle (6’5″, 280-pounds) from Severn, Maryland. This becomes the first D-1 offer for Smalls.
James Branch– 2027 wide receiver (6’3″, 195 pounds) from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. Holds offers from Boston College, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, NC State, Penn State and Virginia Tech.
Angel Luciano- 2026 linebacker (6’3″, 215 pounds) from Steelton, Pennsylvania. Holds offers from Akron, Michigan State, Syracuse and Delaware.
Nick Abrams II– 4-star 2026 linebacker (6’2″, 210 pounds) from Owings Mills, Maryland). Holds offers from Alabama, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, Penn State, South Carolina, Temple, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
The Panthers will be hosting a number of players for an all-important Junior Day. Aside from visiting the facilities, the Pitt campus, meeting the players and coaches, the recruits will head over to the Petersen Events Center for the Pitt vs. Louisville game.
