Pro Football Hall of Famers Russ Grimm and Ty Law highlight the list of inductees.

Grimm played four seasons at Pitt, transitioning from linebacker to center during his early years. And it paid off immensely, leading to a third round selection in the 1981 NFL Draft and a decade-long NFL career. He spent every season with the Washington Redskins, helping the team to three Super Bowl titles. He earned four straight All-Pro nods during the run.

He earned nine varsity letters at Southmoreland between football, basketball and track & field, but he’s most known for his football career. The school’s football field is named in his honor.

Law was selected in the first round of the 1995 NFL Draft following a standout career at Michigan. He spent 15 seasons in the NFL, most notably for the New England Patriots from 1995-04. He was a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, winning three Super Bowls and and leading the NFL in interceptions twice.

He led Aliquippa to the 1991 WPIAL and PIAA titles, starring as a running back, wide receiver, cornerback and safety along the way.

The 18th WPIAL Hall of Fame class will officially be inducted on June 6 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Green Tree, Pa.
