Three-Star 2026 Linebacker Anthony Bitonti to Make First Pitt Visit

Pitt football is hosting its second Junior Day this upcoming weekend and will welcome another list of recruits in the upcoming classes.
One of those prospects that will be in attendance is 2026 three-star linebacker Anthony Bitonti out of De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren, Mich.
Bitonti will make his first to Pitt on Jan. 18 and is looking forward to experiencing the program and interacting with the coaching staff.
“I am hoping to meet some great people and coaches and take a look around the campus to confirm it is a place I would love to call home in the near future,” Bitonti told Pittsburgh Sports Now.

As with any prospect out of Michigan, cornerbacks coach Archie Collins has taken charge of Bitonti’s recruitment.
“I have talked to Coach Archie Collins the most,” Bitonti said. “He came to my school recently and I had a great, engaging conversation with him about what Pitt has to offer. I am in the relatively early stages of talking to Pitt but in the conversations I’ve had with some of the coaches I feel like Pitt is exactly what I am looking for.”
Bitonti holds a three-star rating from 247Sports while ranking as the 25th player in Michigan and the 73rd overall linebacker in the 2026 class. He owns offers from Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Penn, Princeton and Dartmouth.
While he is receiving interest from several Power Four programs, Bitonti has yet to land an official offer. However, he is hoping that changes this weekend.
“From what I already know about Pitt, a great visit paired with an offer would definitely make me consider calling it home very soon,” he said.
Heading into the weekend, Bitonti already has a positive outlook on the Pitt program.
“Pitt stands out as simply being winners. They play in a tough ACC conference and the competitiveness that the team plays with is what sticks out to me most,” Bitonti said.
As a junior at De La Salle, Anthony Bitonti impressed on both sides of the ball. At running back, he totaled 693 yards and 13 touchdowns, along with a passing score. On defense at linebacker, he recorded 67 tackles, nine tackles for loss, four sacks and a fumble recovery.
