On Saturday at noon, Pitt will try to snap its three-game losing streak with a win over one of the ACC’s best teams, Clemson.

PITT’S OUTLOOK

Pitt is now 1-5 in Quad 1 games after losing its last three contests. The Panthers are 12-5 overall and 3-3 in ACC play, and are desperately looking to shake off the recent struggles and win a big one against a legitimate Clemson squad. The Tigers come to town as one of the top teams in the league, and a predicted NCAA Tournament squad, while Pitt is now back on the bubble.

CLEMSON TIGERS (14-4, 6-1 ACC)

Head Coach: Brad Brownell (15th season)

TIGERS REPORT

Clemson star guard Chase Hunter is playing like an all-league player so far this season, averaging 17+ points per game and shooting 45% from three-point range. The Tigers do not have PJ Hall or Joe Girard anymore, but they are still a strong group, with rebounding expert Ian Schieffelin in the middle and guards Jaeden Zackery and Chauncey Wiggins both shooting at least 35% from three.

Clemson ranks first in the ACC in three-point percentage, and second in turnover margin. The Tigers are a well-rounded team with a presence inside and out. 6’11 Russian big man Viktor Lakhin is averaging 10 and 6 so far this season, and is versatile down low.
