Hopewell Freshman James Armstrong Receives 3rd D-1 Offer

It was another big day as Hopewell freshman quarterback James Armstrong received another D-1 offer.

This morning after a conversation with Akron assistant and local recruiter Ryan Matviko, Armstrong received an offer from the Akron Zips.

This becomes the 3rd D-1 offer for Armstrong (Pitt and Sacramento State).

Considering the offensive coaching staff they employee, Akron is an interesting option for any talented offensive player.

Head coach Joe Moorhead is one of the best offensive minds and play callers in football and their wide receiver coach JD Brockhart was the Pitt wide receiver coach with Biletnikoff Winners Antonio Bryant and Larry Fitzgerald.

The interest for Boo Boo will only increase over the next 3 years as he’s received recent interest from Stanford and is scheduled to attend Penn State Junior Day tomorrow.

While in town, Matviko also checked in on talented Hopewell junior kicker Rocco Marcantonio, who already holds another from Akron.
