On Saturday at 12:00 p.m., Pitt will take on Wake Forest in an ACC battle in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

PITT’S OUTLOOK

Pitt has now won back-to-back games, beating Syracuse and then North Carolina. Now, Pitt faces a Wake Forest team that is desperate for a big win. The Demon Deacons once again have a good record on paper, but are not being talked about as an NCAA Tournament team.

WAKE FOREST DEMON DEACONS (15-6, 7-3 ACC)

Head Coach: Steve Forbes (5th Season)

DEMON DEACONS REPORT

Forbes’ Wake Forest squad won six-straight games to kick off the new year, but has since dropped its last two games against Duke and then Louisville.

Wake ranks third in the ACC in blocks per game, second in field goal percentage defense, and first in three-point percentage defense. The Deacons force the second-most turnovers per game in the league. Offensively, they only make six three pointers per game, good for 17th in the ACC.

Hunter Sallis is the star, averaging 18.6 points per game. Alongside Sallis, the Deacons have Cam Hildreth and Tre’Von Spillers also averaging double-digit scoring numbers. The team only has one three-point shooter who is shooting above 33% from deep, and it is Omaha Biliew, who has only played in four games this year due to injury (and has attempted seven total threes).
