Former Pitt CB Signs at the Division II Level

Jaremiah Anglin Jr. has had a challenging college experience so far, but he will look to rebound at the Division II level next season.
Anglin — a 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back from Lake Wales, Fla. — entered the transfer portal last month after one season at Pitt, not seeing the field, and he signed with Benedict (D-II) College on Thursday.
Benedict is a private HBCU in Columbia, S.C. and went 4-6 in the Southern Interscholastic Athletic Conference (SIAC).

Anglin initially committed to Kentucky as a four-star recruit in the class of 2023 over a list of finalists that included Alabama, Florida State, Jackson State, Penn State, Pitt, UCF and Tennessee.
He didn’t see any action during his true freshman campaign after tearing his ACL, and after transferring to Pitt, he didn’t see any action this season.
Pitt suffered its fair share of losses at cornerback this offseason, including No. 1 corner Ryland Gandy transferring to Indiana, but the room is led by veterans Rashad Battle and Tamon Lynum. Shadarian Harrison leads a group of young cornerbacks that includes Mason Alexander and Shawn Lee Jr.
Pitt added Cal (Pa.) transfer Rashan Murray from the transfer portal, too. And the transfer portal will once again open at the conclusion of the spring season in April.
