As they approach their most crucial stretch of the season, the Hopewell HS Girls Basketball team is starting to gain some much needed momentum.

On Saturday, the Vikings traveled to Rochester for a non-conference game and came away with a 63-33 win. This win was Hopewell’s 5th win in their last 7 games.

Yesterday against the Rams, Hopewell jumped out to a 18-8 1st quarter lead and stretched it to 38-21 at halftime. Hopewell then pulled away in the 3rd quarter as they outscored Rochester, 21-6.

Hopewell was led by a career-best performance from Alyssa Spang’s 24 points. Junior guard Caylee Sundy collected 14 points, freshman Addison Blosnick came with 12 points, including 10 in the 3rd quarter. Other scores were Maya Richburg with 9 and Avery Boyd with 4.

Two important games for the Lady Vikings this week against Lincoln Park and Central Valley.
