It would appear the transfer portal additions have ended this winter, so that means the next step is spring football.
Pitt ended the season with a six-game losing streak, falling to Toledo in the GameAbove Sports Bowl in the final game of the season, but the coaching staff has secured a 21-man recruiting class and 13 more portal additions to supplement a roster that returned just about every key player.
The spring will be a key phase for acclimating the new arrivals and figuring out the position battles across the lineup. It will be a very busy month and a half in Pittsburgh — capped by the Blue-Gold Spring Game on April 12.
Just because the portal movement is likely done for now (until after the spring season) doesn’t mean there won’t be a whole lot going on.
Interviews, updates, analysis, predictions and general thoughts on everything that’s happening with Pitt football, Pitt basketball and the transfer portal — and in the recruiting realms of the classes of 2025 and 2026 and 2027.
