Pitt FB Recruiting
Three-Star 2026 TE Out of Ohio Places Pitt Amongst Top Schools

With a quarterback already on board in the Class of 2026 for Pitt football, the Panthers will now focus on building around their foundational piece.
The Pitt coaching staff is working on making a strong impression on their tight end targets and for one, the Panthers have done just that to earn a spot amongst a list of final schools.
Landen Miree — a 6-foot-4, 220-pound tight end out of Princeton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio — released a top list that was trimmed from 34 Division I offers to 11 schools, including Pitt, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Missouri, Florida State, Cincinnati, Washington, Arizona State, SMU, LSU and Wisconsin.

According to Rivals.com, Miree is rated as a 5.7 three-star prospect, while checking in as the No. 24 tight end in the cycle, 21st-best player in Ohio and the top tight end in the state
Pitt tight ends coach Jacob Bronowski originally offered Miree back on June 5 of 2024.
As a junior, Miree recorded 56 receptions for 714 yards and 10 touchdowns on his way to earning First Team All-Conference honors and Second Team All-Ohio recognition.
Miree checks a lot of boxes in which Bronowski and offensive coordinator Kade Bell are looking for when it comes to tight ends that fit their system. Miree has length and speed that allows him to create and be a versatile option in the offense, along with sound blocking in both pass pro and the run.

When it comes to the 2026 class, Miree is not the only tight end prospect that has their eyes on Pitt. Four-star Port Huron, Mich. native Lincoln Watkins included Pitt in his top 12 back in late August.
Bronowski and the Pitt staff have also shown interest in several other tight ends in the Class of 2026. On the recruiting trail, Pitt has visited the likes of Braden Bach (Argyle, Texas), Javonte Williams (Damascus, Md.), Cooper McCutchan (Cincinnati, Ohio), Adam Land (Panama City Beach, Fla.) and William Vaughn (Kings Mountain, N.C.).
