Die-Hards: Pitt Receives Unofficial Visit from Important Recruit

The next couple of months are very important and influential in terms of high school football recruiting.

On the recruiting calendar, it’s a dead period in terms of college coaches being able to personally visit with recruits at home or at school. However, players are permitted to take unofficial visits to schools of their interest.

That will be the theme of recruiting for the month of February as players will make one-day visits to various schools on their radar.

These visits will serve a couple of purposes: 1) the player will have an opportunity to personally evaluate a school 2) the player will also get a sense of where they stand with the school and if it’s a place, they might want to set up an official visit at later in the summer.

Over the weekend, Pitt hosted a player on an unofficial visit that is high on their recruiting board, and it was his first ever look at the Pitt facilities.
