Pitt Makes Initial Cut with 4-Star Linebacker

It’s obviously still very early in the recruiting process, but Pitt got some good news concerning a top prospect from Florida.
2026 4-star linebacker Tony Williams announced his decision to cut his list of schools from 25+ down to 12 and that new Top 12 included Pitt.
Williams (6’1″, 215-pounds) is rated a 4-star prospect and one of the Top 30 juniors in the state of Florida.
This afternoon, Williams announced that his Top 12 consists of Pitt, Miami, Nebraska, NC State, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Missouri, SMU, Indiana, Wake Forest and Iowa State.
Williams attends Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida and finished his junior season with 100+ tackles with 20 tackles for loss and 6 sacks.
Williams received his offer from Kade Bell and Pitt back in January. The question now is whether or not they can strength their relationship with Williams and get him to Pittsburgh on an official visit.
At the start of February, Williams made an unofficial visit to Miami, Florida.
