Pitt students flooded the streets in Oakland late Sunday night, and into the early hours of Monday, morning to celebrate the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victory.

The Eagles ran away with a 40-22 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. The Eagles led 34-0 in the third quarter following a 46-yard touchdown pass to wideout DeVonta Smith.

Kenny Pickett, Avonte Maddox and A.J. Woods are first-time Super Bowl champions. Pickett closed out the game for the Eagles, taking the final kneel down to ice the game, and Maddox recorded a big pass breakup on fourth down in the fourth quarter.

Fans chanted Pickett’s name on the streets Sunday night, showing respect to the ACC champion and Heisman Trophy finalist. There are clearly a lot of Philadelphia natives, and fans, at the University.
