Robert Morris 2025 Football Schedule

MOON TWP, Pa. — Robert Morris, in conjunction with the Northeast Conference, announced the Colonials’ 2025 football schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The 2025 season will mark the second season back in the NEC for the Robert Morris football program after initially leaving the conference in 2019.

In 2025, the Colonials will face their sixth-ever FBS opponent to kick off their season as they travel to Morgantown on Aug. 30 for a duel with the Mountaineers. When the Colonials play West Virginia, it will be the first game against a member of the Big-12 in program history.

The Colonials schedule revealed that their rivalry with Youngstown St. will be renewed in 2025 as they have not faced the Penguins since 2023 but will do so on Sept. 6 when they travel to Stambaugh Stadium.

The Colonials will play at home for the first time on Sept. 13 when West Liberty travels to Moon Township. Robert Morris and West Liberty have never met on the football field before so this year’s matchup will be the first. Then, the Colonials welcome a longtime rival into Joe Walton Stadium the following week as the Colonials take on Dayton for the first time since 2022.

Following the duel with the Flyers, Robert Morris is scheduled for its bye week which comes early for the Colonials.

After the break in play, the Colonials pick things back up with a road conference game against Merrimack on Oct. 4 before returning home to host the defending NEC champions Central Connecticut St. on Oct. 11.

Robert Morris will then hit the road for three-straight road tests against Long Island on Oct. 18, Saint Francis on Oct. 25 and Stonehill on Nov. 1. Following the extended road trip, the Colonials host Wagner on Nov. 8 before heading up to Mercyhurst on Nov. 15.

The Colonials close their season out on Nov. 22 against another notable opponent as their crosstown rivals, the Duquesne Dukes, will travel up to Joe Walton Stadium for the first time since 2019.

After going 4-2 in conference play and 7-5 overall while finishing in third place during their first year back in the NEC, the Colonials and head coach Bernard Clark Jr. will try to build upon their success from a season ago but with the current era of the transfer portal, it is unknown what the Colonials will look like in 2025.
