Productive 2026 Tight End Locks in Pitt Official Visit

Pitt was the first Power Four program to extend Javonte Williams an offer, and he’s repaying that faith with an official visit.
Williams — a 6-foot-4, 215-pound tight end from the Bullis School in Potomac, Md. — announced on social media Wednesday that he’s taking an official visit at Pitt from June 12-14.
It’s the first official visit that Williams has set up for this summer, and he holds offers from Buffalo, Duke, Georgetown, Howard, Indiana, Old Dominion, Pitt and Virginia Tech.

Williams picked up an offer from Pitt on Jan. 14, receiving the offer on a phone call from tight ends coach Jacob Bronowski, and it came just a few days after visiting Pittsburgh for Junior Day.
He spent time with Bronowski during the visit and built the foundation for a relationship that will carry through the end of his recruiting process.
The Pitt offer opened the door for additional Power Four offers from Duke, Indiana and Virginia Tech.
Williams is coming off a strong junior season at Bullis, hauling in 35 receptions for 679 yards (19.4 yards per reception) and six touchdowns.
The major recruiting services haven’t ranked Williams yet, but as he goes through the spring and picks up additional offers, that will certainly change. Pitt was his first major offer just over a month ago.
Williams is very familiar with the coaching staff and the facilities, and there’s a good chance he will be back at some point in the spring for practice, but the official visit is an opportunity to showcase exactly what Pitt has to offer.
Pitt has secured one commitment in the class of 2026, starting the class of strong with a commitment from three-star quarterback Angelo Renda (Southlake, Tx.). And while he’s the only current commitment, there are many more coming in the near future.
