The Pitt Panthers will be getting an official visit from an under the radar recruit from down South.

2026 3-star wide receiver Zechariah Jenkins from Laurel, Mississippi plans on making an official visit to Pitt from June 19-21st. Jenkins has also scheduled an official visit to Tulane, the weekend prior from June 12-14th.

Pitt’s interest in Jenkins is fairly recent as he received his offer from wide receivers coach JJ Laster on February 3rd. Aside from Pitt, Jenkins holds offers from Louisiana Tech, Tulane, Troy, South Alabama, Oregon State, Arkansas State, Toledo, Southern Miss, Louisiana-Lafayette, Liberty, Mississippi State, Arkansas and UNLV.

In his junior season, Jenkins finished the season with 43 receptions for 664 yards and 9 touchdowns.

Over the summer, Jenkins attended a camp at LSU for elite prospects and Sam Spiegelman from Rivals.com had this evaluation of Jenkins- “2026 Laurel (Miss.) Zechariah Jenkins was giving fits to defensive backs outside the numbers. At 6-foot and 190 pounds, (Jenkins is now 6’2″) Jenkins battled well working outside the numbers and was also able to stretch the field vertically. He was able to separate consistently and also made catches coming back to the ball in tight coverage. The Mississippi-based pass-catcher also made a few highlight grabs along the way.”
