College football programs have started spring practices which means that high school recruits are making unofficial visits.

These visits are important as players are able to evaluate both the football program and coaching staff. In some cases, players use this spring visit as a way to determine whether or not they’d like to follow it up with a future official visit.

Central Catholic 2026-star pass rusher Ashton Blatt is a player going through this process and over the weekend, he took an important unofficial visit to Wisconsin.

The visit to Madison was just one of many unofficial and official visits that Blatt has scheduled for the next few months.

Blatt tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that this is his current schedule in terms of unofficial and official visits.

Ashton Blatt’s Unofficial Visits:
West Virginia- March 13
Pitt- March 15
Virginia- March 22
Duke- March 29
Penn State- April 12

Blatt’s Official Visits:
West Virginia- April 4th-6th
Wisconsin- May 30th-June 1st
Penn State- June 6th-8th
Duke- June 20th-22nd

As far as Pitt goes, Blatt tells PSN what he will be taking an official visit there but he’s “still working to future out that date.”

In terms of defensive lineman/linebackers, Blatt is one of the top defensive priorities for Pat Narduzzi and his coaching staff, along with Peters Township 4-star linebacker Reston Lehman and Blatt’s teammate, 3-star linebacker Colsen Gatten.
