Three-Star 2026 Texas DB Places Pitt in Final Eight Schools

Pitt football continues to make its presence felt on the recruiting trail in the state of Texas as a three-star defensive back lists the Panthers as a top school.
Xavier Harmon — a 6-foot-2, 183-pound 2026 defensive back out of Conroe High School in Conroe, Texas — placed Pitt in his final eight schools on Sunday, Parker Thune of Rivals reported. Pitt joins a packed list of Oklahoma State, SMU, Arkansas, TCU, Kansas State, Utah and Stanford in his top choices.

Harmon entered the month of January with just four Division I offers to his name, but since then his recruitment has more than tripled.
The Panthers and defensive coordinator Randy Bates initially offered Harmon on Jan. 25. Bates took some time while on the recruiting trail in Texas to visit with Harmon as the Panthers looked to make inroads with the recruit.

While Harmon has not announced any visits to Pitt, he has locked in a handful of official visits with some of his final options. He’s headed to Oklahoma State (April 4-6), Stanford (May 16), Arkansas (May 30-June 1), Utah (June 6-8), Kansas State (June 12-14) and SMU (June 20-22). It’ll be interesting to see if he finds time to visit Pitt either in the spring or makes room for an official visit as he is booked on Pitt’s three primary official visit weekends.
Harmon brings a physical, hard-hitting approach to corner — just take a look at his first play on his Hudl film. He plays tight coverage and has great instincts to get off his man and attack the ball with speed.
Rivals rates Harmon as a three-star nickel prospect and the 11th best player at his position in the 2026 class. He also checks in as the No. 64 player in the talent-rich state of Texas.
