INDIANAPOLIS — Robert Morris women’s basketball first-year head coach Chandler McCabe and her team accomplished much, much more than anybody anticipated this season. After being picked to finish last in the Horizon League and starting league play 1-7, the Colonials came together to win 10 out of their last 13 games.

In the process, the Colonials clinched the fourth seed in the league, a first-round bye and a home game in the Horizon League Tournament. After winning its home “playoff” game, the Colonials joined the men’s team for the trip to the semifinals in Indianapolis which was a first for both programs since the university joined the Horizon League.

Unfortunately, Robert Morris saw their season end in the semifinal round to the top-seeded Green Bay Phoenix. McCabe, along with two of her graduating players, talked about the season and the loss to Green Bay before the group shared an emotional moment following the conclusion to their season.
