The television broadcast then showed Flagg in a wheelchair being taken to an examination in the arena.

During the second half, Duke’s official team Twitter page announced that Flagg was doubtful to return to the game due to a left ankle injury.

Duke trailed Georgia Tech at the half of its first ACC Tournament contest.

Flagg, the number one overall player in 247 Sports’ 2024 recruiting rankings, had a perfect “100” rating on the popular rankings site. The 6-foot-10, 205-pound prospect played high-school ball for the basketball powerhouse Montverde Academy. He chose the Blue Devils over UConn, which he visited last September.

Flagg is from Newport, Maine, and has since showcased his talent all over the country since moving to Florida to play for Montverde. He now joins a new-look Duke roster that includes Caleb Foster, Tyrese Proctor, and newcomers Maliq Brown, Mason Gillis, Sion James, and others.

Pitt lost its first game of the tournament back on Tuesday, falling to Notre Dame in the first round. Duke is the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
