Long List of WPIAL Hoopers Playing in March Madness

In this year’s NCAA Tournament, Western Pennsylvania’s own hoopers can be found across the board in both the men’s and women’s tournaments.

Brad Everett of the Pittsburgh Union Progress recently reported a list of six players from the WPIAL who are now on NCAA Tournament rosters on the men’s side.

Notably, former Penn Hills guard Daemarr Kelly is one of the players on the list of former WPIAL talent competing in March Madness. Recently, Kelly hit the game-winning shot to send Saint Francis (PA) to the big dance. In addition, Adou Thiero out of Quaker Valley (Arkansas), Royce Parham out of North Hills (Marquette), Ethan Morton out of Butler (Colorado State), and Chris Moncrief (also Saint Francis PA) will be competing in the tournament. To round out the list, former Upper St. Clair guard Tanner O’Grady will be competing for Robert Morris.
