**Highly recruited Central Catholic 2026 3-star linebacker Colsen Gatten made an unofficial visit on Saturday to Virginia Tech. The Hokies are just one of the 20+ Power 4 offers that Gatten currently holds. At this point, Gatten has not announced any official visits for this summer.

Update (10:23 AM)-
**Another top WPIAL recruit made an unofficial visit yesterday to an ACC program. Peters Township 2026 3-star TE/DE Lucas Shanafelt traveled to visit Manny Diaz and the Duke football program. At this stage of his recruitment, Shanafelt holds Power 4 offers from Pitt and West Virginia. Last recruiting season, Duke was successfully able to land Central Catholic 4-star recruit Bradley Gompers.

**On Saturday, talented Central Catholic 2026 3-star DE Ashton Blatt made an unofficial visit to Virginia.

Blatt tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that this is his current schedule in terms of unofficial and official visits.

Ashton Blatt’s Unofficial Visits:
Duke- March 29
Penn State- April 12

Blatt’s Official Visits:
West Virginia- April 4th-6th
Wisconsin- May 30th-June 1st
Penn State- June 6th-8th
Duke- June 20th-22nd

Update (10:15 AM-
**Despite being committed to Pitt, the national interest in 2027 wide receiver Jacob Thomas continues. Yesterday, Thomas received an offer from Miami, Florida. Since committing to Pitt, Thomas has received offers from Boston College, Kentucky, Central Florida, Purdue and Auburn.

Update: 9:52 AM-
*Central Catholic 2027 4-star offensive tackle Jimmy Kalis becomes the first WPIAL player to receive an offer from new North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick. Kalis received the offer while making an unofficial visit to Chapel Hill. In the last two weeks, along with UNC, Kalis has picked up offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama and Miami.
