Former Pitt Center John Hugley Transferring Again

Yet another chapter has been added to the college career of former Pitt Panther John Hugley.

The former 4-star center has decided to leave Xavier and enter the Transfer Portal. This will become the 4th team that Hugley has played for in his up and down career.

The 6’11”, 270- pound senior from Cleveland, Ohio started his career at Pitt and in 2021-22 produced a career-high 14.8 points and 7.9 rebounds.

However, found himself in off-court issues the following season and his career has never been the same.

After sitting out the 2022-23 season, Hugley transferred to Oklahoma where he played one season, averaging 8.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Last season, Hugley made the decision to transfer to a place closer to home and joined Sean Miller and Xavier. Things didn’t work out as he averaged only 10 minutes per game, averaging 2.9 points and 2.0 rebounds.

With one remaining season of college eligibility, Hugley will look to find a program where he can play and hopefully finish things on a high note.
