Pitt Reaches Out to 7-Foot Patriot League Player of the Year

The Pitt basketball staff has reached out to another transfer portal prospect.
The Panthers’ staff recently reached out to Bucknell transfer center Noah Williamson, a 7-foot center out of Riga, Latvia, per source. Williamson won the Patriot League Player of the Year award this season after averaging 17.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for the Bisons.
He shot 32% from three-point range, making 28 threes on the season. Williamson also knocked down 63% of his free-throw attempts on the season. Williamson posted a season-best 32 points against Southern Indiana in the first month of the season, and grabbed a season-high 16 rebounds against Loyola Maryland in January. He blocked five shots in a game against Richmond, and even had a game with six three pointers against Colgate.
According to Synergy, Williamson is a very good scorer in the post. He made 59 of his 104 attempts in post-up situations, and had a points-per-possession of 1.036 in post-up situations. He also had 75 possessions logged as the roll man in pick-and-roll situations on Synergy, too.
Pitt has reached out to many players in the portal already, including Corey Chest out of LSU, Tae Davis out of Notre Dame, and others.
