Seton-LaSalle 2027 4-Star Athlete Khalil Taylor Commits to Penn State

Penn State football’s dominance of landing the top WPIAL’s top talent continued today with the commitment of 2027 4-star athlete Khalil Taylor from Seton-LaSalle High School.

Per Rivals.com, Taylor is rated as the No. 5 player in the state for 2027 and the No. 87 player in the country. Taylor announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions while on an unofficial visit to State College.

Taylor (6’0″, 180-pounds) committed to Penn State over other offers from Pitt, Wisconsin, West Virginia, UNLV, Temple, Syracuse, Rutgers, Nebraska, Michigan State, Maryland, Kentucky, Connecticut and Akron.

Behind the recruiting of Penn State assistant head coach Terry Smith, Taylor is just the latest WPIAL talent to commit to James Franklin’s program.

Class of 2027: 4-star running back Kemon Spell (McKeesport High School).

Class of 2026: 3-star DB David Davis (Imani Christian), 4-star S Matt Sieg (Fort Cherry).

Class of 2025: 4-star LB Dayshaun Burnett (Imani Christian), 4-star LB Alex Tatsch (Latrobe HS), 3-star DB Xxavier Thomas (Central Catholic), 4-star OL Brady O’Hara (North Catholic) and 4-star RB Tiqwai Hayes (Aliquippa).

Taylor becomes the 3rd player in the Class of 2027 to commit to Penn State.
