Pitt to Receive Official Visit From 2026 4-Star OT

The Pitt football staff has a simple objective when recruiting a top prospect- get them on campus for an official visit.
While that sounds simple, it’s proven to be effective.
During the Pat Narduzzi era, Pitt has a very high success rate of receiving a commitment from a player if they’re able to get them to make an official visit.
The Panthers staff certainly hope that trend continues with the latest player that’s set a date for an official visit.
2026 4-star offensive tackle Tyler Duell from West Chester East High School in West Chester, Pennsylvania has scheduled an official visit to Pitt from June 19-21.
Duell (6’6″, 300-poounds) is currently ranked by Rivals.com as one of the Top 10 in-state recruits for the Class of 2026.

This becomes the second announced official visit for Duell with the first being to Rutgers (May 30-June 1).
Led by offensive line coach Jeremy Darveau, Pitt has been aggressively recruiting this talented offensive tackle. Two weeks ago, Duell traveled to Pitt to watch spring practice and spend time with the coaches.
Back in January, Darveau traveled to West Chester to make an in-home visit to spend time with Duell and his family.
Duell becomes the second 4-star offensive tackle to schedule a Pitt official visit, joining Day’Jon Moore from Conroe, Texas.
