Duquesne Guard Enters Transfer Portal

Another Duquesne basketball player has entered the transfer portal.
Walk-on Lucas Perusek entered the portal on Tuesday, according to Verbal Commits on Twitter.
Perusek, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound sophomore guard, spent two seasons with the Dukes. He did not log any stats in this most recent 2024-25 season, however, he did play twice in the 2023-24 campaign under Keith Dambrot. Perusek appeared in two games, playing four total minutes, grabbing one rebound, and dishing out one assist. Perusek is a Willoughby Hills, Ohio native who played his high-school ball for St. Edward.
“I’m super appreciative of just being on this team and being able to help my guys out any way possible whether practice or in games bringing energy from the bench,” Perusek said in an interview with PSN’s Zac Weiss in 2024. “I’m just excited for what’s to come. Being on the scout team you’ve got to really give up yourself and give a role to the other team and learn how they’re playing to get them the best look they can get. I love being on the scout team, it’s a fun time being able to be out there with teammates.”
Perusek joins Tre Dinkins, Matus Hronsky and Kareem Rozier as Dukes who have entered the portal so far. The transfer portal officially opened up on March 24 for 30 days this year.
