Pitt BB Recruiting
Iowa State Transfer Center Dishon Jackson Visits Pitt

A huge need for the Pitt basketball team over the last couple of seasons has been a legitimate center for their frontcourt.
The Panthers have started players like Guillermo Diaz-Graham and Federiko Federiko, who didn’t have the body size to be a true presence under the hoop. Cam Corhen played some at center this past season, but he seems like more of a fit at power forward.
So, Jeff Capel’s search for a center will continue into this off-season and that man was on campus this week.
Sources tell Pittsburgh Sports Now that Iowa State starting center Dishon Jackson joined his teammate guard Nojus Indrusaitis on a visit to Pittsburgh this week.
Jackson is a 6-11, 275-pound senior center, who this past season averaged 8.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in 18.7 minutes of action. The year prior, he averaged 11.4 points and 6.1 rebounds. His best two performances last year were a 17-point, 4 rebound game against Kansas and a 14-point, 5-rebound effort against TCU.
Iowa State was Jackson’s third college team after playing at both Washington State and Charlotte.
Jackson would be the first center with both legitimate height and weight at Pitt in a long time.
As was reported on Wednesday, Pitt hosted Nojus Indrusaitis, a 6-foot-5 freshman wing from Iowa State. Indrusaitis averaged just 2.1 points per game in his rookie season, playing a minimal role for the Cyclones. However, he was a highly touted recruit just one season ago.
Transfer News: Iowa State transfer Nojus Indrusaitis is currently on a visit to Pitt per his agent Deirunas Visockas.

Indrusaitis, who spent his high-school years in the Chicago area, was ranked as the No. 96 player and a four-star prospect in the class of 2024 before going to Iowa State. He played for Meanstreets EYBL and also competed for Saint Rita High School in Chicago before going to Brewster Academy.
