Kentucky Sports Radio reporter Jacob Polacheck reported that Kentucky is interested in Lowe. Lowe entered the portal with a “Do Not Contact” tag, according to sources. Many assumed that meant that he already had an idea of where he would end up. With that, many pointed to Lowe’s connection with new Miami head coach Jai Lucas.
However, it appears that Lowe is now receiving interest from other schools.
A source close to Lowe told PSN that Lowe returning to Pitt is still an option for the left-handed guard.
The 6-foot-3 guard is one of five Pitt players to have entered the transfer portal so far. Along with Lowe, Pitt’s Amsal Delalic, Guillermo Diaz Graham, Jorge Diaz Graham, and Marlon Barnes Jr. have all entered the portal already. The portal opened on March 24 for 30 days.
Pitt has contacted many available transfers in the portal, including Dayton point guard Malachi Smith, Notre Dame transfer forward Tae Davis, and many more. Recently, the Panthers hosted Iowa State transfer Nojus Indrusaitis, who played one season for the Cyclones. Indrusaitis is a former top-100, four-star prospect. The Lithuanian prospect played his AAU ball for Meanstreets in the Nike EYBL and played high-school ball for Saint Rita in Chicago and Brewster Academy.
