Pitt Transfer Target Commits to SEC School

Another potential transfer portal prospect has committed elsewhere.
On Sunday, Corey Chest out of LSU committed to Ole Miss after hearing from many schools in the portal, including Pitt.
Chest played one season for LSU. The former four-star prospect is a 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward out of Link Academy in Missouri. He spent one year with the Tigers after being ranked in the top-100 as a high-school senior. Chest finished high school ranked as the No. 97 prospect in his class, per 247 Sports.
Chest is an athletic big man who led the team in offensive rebounding and total rebounding as just a rookie. He also had 32 blocks on the defensive end, one of the best totals on the team. Chest posted four double doubles as a freshman, including a 12-point, 18-rebound outburst against No. 4 Alabama in late January.
In his lone year with the Tigers, he posted averages of 6.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 61% from the field. He started 19 games out of 26 appearances for the Tigers, earning 20 minutes of playing time per contest. Chest hit just 22 of his 49 free-throw attempts, and did not hit a three pointer, or attempt a three pointer, all season.
Pitt already added a big commitment with the addition of Dishon Jackson out of Iowa State on Saturday. See more on Jackson’s commitment below.
