Pitt Interested in Cincinnati Transfer Dan Skillings Jr.

Former Cincinnati wing Dan Skillings Jr. entered the transfer portal on Monday, and Pitt has already shown interest in him, per source.
Skillings is a 6-foot-6, 210-pound senior wing/forward.
Back in 2021, Skillings was one of Pitt’s priority targets towards the end of that summer, since Pitt offered him on Aug. 17. After he picked up the offer, Skillings included the Panthers in his top ten, then his top five, and eventually took an official visit to Pitt. However, in the end, he found his home at Cincinnati.
Pitt, Miami, NC State, Cincinnati, and Virginia Tech made his top-schools list in high school.
Skillings spent three years at Cincinnati from 2022-25. He started 28 games in his career, and played in 100. Skillings’ sophomore season was his best statistical year, as he averaged 12.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. This past year, he started 13 games and played 22.8 minutes per contest. Skillings scored 9.2 points per game and grabbed 3.8 boards per game.
Skillings has shot below 30% from three-point range all three years of his collegiate career. He actually shot a career-high 29.9% from three this past season, making 26 of his 87 threes.
Pitt has landed two transfer commitments already this spring, earning commitments from two former Iowa State players. Dishon Jackson, a center, committed first. Then, on Monday, Nojus Indrusaitis committed to the Panthers. Stay tuned for more on PSN.
Jackson is a 6-11, 275-pound senior center, who this past season averaged 8.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in 18.7 minutes of action. The year prior, he averaged 11.4 points and 6.1 rebounds. His best two performances last year were a 17-point, 4 rebound game against Kansas and a 14-point, 5-rebound effort against TCU.
Indrusaitis, who spent his high-school years in the Chicago area, was ranked as the No. 96 player and a four-star prospect in the class of 2024 before going to Iowa State. He played for Meanstreets EYBL and also competed for Saint Rita High School in Chicago before going to Brewster Academy.
