Report: Pitt Hoops To Host Transfer Forward

With only six players currently on the roster, the Pitt basketball program will be in communication with plenty of players in the transfer portal over the upcoming weeks.
In fact, Pitt will be hosting a player that would fill a need over the weekend.
Per CBS Sports Insider Jon Rothstein, UNC-Wilmington forward Khamari McGriff will be making a visit to Pitt this coming Sunday, followed by a trip to Oklahoma.
The 6’9″, 210-pound redshirt junior was one of the top Sixth Men in the country last season as he averaged a career-high 11.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game in 19 minutes per game. McGriff has collected an extremely high shooting percentage the last two seasons, shooting 65.1% last season and 75.4% during the 2023-24 season.
Despite coming off the bench, McGriff was named to the All-CAA Tournament team after averaging 11 points per game as UNC-Wilmington advanced to the Championship game and won.
In the just concluded NCAA Tournament, McGriff scored 8 points in a 1st round game against Texas Tech.
McGriff will have one season of NCAA eligibility remaining.
Thus far, Pitt has been able to get commitments from wing Nojus Indrusaitis and center Dishon Jackson, both from Iowa State.
