There’s some recruiting news concerning Damon Ferguson, Pitt’s top running back target in the Class of 2026.

The 4-star recruit from Towson, Maryland holds over 40+ D-1 offers and this afternoon, Ferguson announced his Top 11 schools.

The electric running back told Pittsburgh Sports Now that his Top 11 schools were (in no order): Pitt, Virginia, Cincinnati, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, NC State, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota and Ohio State.

It’s not surprise that Ohio State is included in his leading schools, an offer that Ferguson received last weekend while on an unofficial visit.

After getting the offer from the Buckeyes, Ferguson had this to say to PSN.

“This doesn’t change anything regarding my recruitment,” said Ferguson. “I’m still trying to determine what school is the right fit for me. It definitely is awesome that they believe I can help them based on my skillset.”

“I would tell every school including Pitt that I’m still weighing my options and trying to determine the best fit for me. This decision is going to be the most important decision of my life thus far and I want to make the best one possible. I will be back to Pitt for my fifth time on June 5 and I’m looking forward to my official visit.”

Prior to the offer from Ohio State, Ferguson announced official visits to Indiana (April 25-27), Duke (May 30-June 1), Virginia (June 13-15), North Carolina (June 16-17) and Pitt (June 5-7). One would assume that there’s a high probability that Ferguson decides in the near future to schedule an official visit to Columbus.
