Pitt WR Andy Jean to Transfer After Three Months with Program

Pitt football built up some solid depth in its wide receiver room with the additions of three transfers and a trio of freshmen.
However, one of those transfer wide outs has decided to hit the transfer portal after just three months with the Pitt program.
Andy Jean — a 6-foot-1, 185-pound redshirt sophomore — announced on Monday that he is entering the spring transfer portal with three years of eligibility remaining.
I truly hate that I have to make this decision again! But I will be entering my name in the transfer portal. With 3 years of eligibility left💙🙏 pic.twitter.com/QmMocMVLiy

Jean had a lot of upside with several years to develop in the program, but transfers Deuce Spann and Cataurus Hicks passed him in the receiver pecking order. Jean was selected to the Gold Team for the spring game in the X receiver role, but did not record any stats.
Pitt landed Jean in January from Florida after appearing in just five games in two years with the Gators as he pulled in six receptions for 97 yards.
Out of Miami Northwestern High School, Jean was a four-star recruit, according to Rivals and On3, and owned a loaded top five list of Florida, Georgia, Miami (Fla.), Texas A&M and Alabama.
Jean becomes the first Pitt wide receiver to hit the portal, but he won’t be the last.
Pitt’s receiver room currently consists of scholarship players in top option and junior Kenny Johnson, Raphael Williams, Censere Lee, Cataurus Hicks, Tyreek Robinson, Zion Fowler-El, Deuce Spann, Cameron Monteiro, Tony Kinsler, Bryce Yates and Cam Sapp.
