Pitt OL Adham Abouraya To Transfer

Offensive lineman Adham Abouraya becomes the 5th player to announce their intentions to transfer from Pitt following spring workouts.
Earlier this morning, PWO offensive lineman Brody and Graysen Riffe placed their names in the transfer portal.
The volume of players entering the portal isn’t something that’s unexpected, in fact, there’s likely to be more in the coming days and weeks.
Abouraya is a 6’5″, 305-pound offensive tackle from Downington East High School in Exton, Pennsylvania and was a member of Pitt’s Class of 2024. Prior to selecting Pitt, Abouraya held other offers from Maryland, Syracuse, Rutgers, West Virginia, Temple and Bowling Green.

Abouraya was one of the first players in Pitt’s Class of 2024 and was recruited to Pitt by former offensive line coach Dave Borbely and local recruiter Cory Sanders.
After not getting on the field last season, Abouraya will still have four seasons of athletic eligbility remaining.
The big lineman was a three-year starter in high school and was looked at as an athletic player that could excel in the run game. Abouraya was rated as one of Pennsylvania’s Top 40 overall prospects by 247 Sports, Rivals, ESPN and On3. He was also a standout heavyweight wrester in high school.
On Monday, wide receiver Andy Jean, who just transferred to Pitt three months ago and veteran tight end Jake Renda also entered the transfer portal.
