45+ D1 Teams Have Now Lost 10+ Players to Transfer Portal

46 teams have now lost at least ten players to the transfer portal this spring in the Division I college basketball world.
According to our transfer portal database over at The Portal Report, 2,142 DI players have entered the portal in men’s basketball so far. The following teams have lost only one player to the portal: Akron, American, Colgate, Cornell, Florida, Houston, Kent State, Kentucky, Lehigh. Marshall, Nebraska, Northwestern, Saint Mary’s, Tennessee, and Yale.
Alabama A&M and St. Francis (PA) have lost the most players, with 16. This list includes walk-ons — which affects Duquesne’s number. The Dukes are included in the list of 46 teams, however, several Duquesne players that have entered were walk-ons.
Robert Morris has lost nine players to the portal, including its entire starting five from this past season: Kam Woods, Josh Omojafo, Amarion Dickerson, Alvaro Folgueiras, and DJ Smith.
Pitt has lost six players to the portal: Jaland Lowe (Kentucky), Guillermo Diaz Graham (San Fransisco), Amsal Delalic (uncommitted), Jorge Diaz Graham (uncommitted), Papa Amadou Kante (uncommitted), and Marlon Barnes Jr. (uncommitted).
Staffs around the country are now all re-building their rosters ahead of next season. Baylor and Xavier currently lead the country with seven players committed. Maryland, Murray State, and UNC Wilmington have six commitments already. Pitt has landed four transfers so far: Nojus Indrusaitis, Dishon Jackson, Barry Dunning Jr., and Damarco Minor.
