Following one season with the Pitt Panthers, it appears as though freshman guard Amsal Delalic and decided on a new basketball program.

Per Arman Jovic from @PDTScouting, Delalic will be heading to the Big East and playing for Chris Holtmann and the DePaul Blue Demons. Last season, DePaul finished with a record of 14-20 but did win 3 of their last 4 games.

The 6’8″ guard from Bosnia and Herzegovina averaged 3.8 points and 2 rebounds, while shooting 46% from the field and 35% from three for the Panthers last season.

Delalic’s career at Pitt was delayed at the beginning by a hand injury but once he returned, his lack of playing time was a mystery to many.

Delalić played 28 minutes in the win over Miami. After the game, his head coach Jeff Capel credited him for his excellent contributions in the win. In his extended appearance, Delalić scored a season-high 14 points as he made nearly 50% of his 13 shots.

Delalic made the decision to transfer from Pitt on March 25th, shortly after the portal opened.

The talented guard arrived at Pitt with high expectations after averaging 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in the top Bosnian professional league.
