4-Star Transfer Cornerback to Visit Pitt

The Pitt Panther football program will have a number of transfers making visits over the upcoming weeks.
Tonight, it’s being reported that one of their visitors will be a former highly rated cornerback.
Per Matt Zenitz from 247 Sports, former North Carolina 4-star cornerback Zion Ferguson will be visiting Pitt this coming Thursday.
Ferguson made the decision to enter the transfer portal 5 days ago.
Ferguson (6’1”, 175-pounds) didn’t play in any games and will have 4 seasons of athletic eligibility remaining.
Coming out of Gainesville High School in Atlanta, Georgia, Ferguson was rated as the No. 19 ranked cornerback prospect in the country per Rivals and played in the Under Armour All-American Game.
Prior to signing with North Carolina, Ferguson held offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Colorado, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Central Florida and Wake Forest.
Being from Georgia, Ferguson was recruited by Pitt secondary coach Archie Collins, who is trying to land him again.
