It’s officially NFL Draft week with the first round opening up on Thursday, April 24 at 8 p.m. and there are several Pitt players hoping to hear their names called in this year’s draft.

Since the end of the 2024-25 NFL season, mock drafts have swept the offseason headlines and it has been a mixed bag where Pitt players will fall.

Wide receiver Konata Mumpfield, tight end Gavin Bartholomew, offensive lineman Branson Taylor and kicker Ben Sauls were all invited to the NFL Scouting Combine and looked in good position to land somewhere on the third day of the draft.

Linebacker Brandon George and safety Donovan McMillon also boosted their stock during Pitt pro day at the end of March.

However, recent mock-ups have showed a variety of outcomes on who will get selected from the Panthers. Here’s the latest seven-round mock drafts.

ESPN

Jordan Reid of ESPN dropped his latest full mock draft Monday and only one Pitt player was selected.

The Miami Dolphins are tabbed to take Taylor with the 253rd pick in the seventh round. Taylor — a 6-foot-6, 315-pound tackle — was invited to Indianapolis, Ind. for the combine, but did not work out as he was still working back from a season-ending injury he suffered against Cal.

At the pro day, he measured at 6-foot-6, 315 pounds with a 5.26 unofficial 40-yard dash, 7.34-second three-cone and 4.62 shuttle. He also added 25 reps on the bench press.

ESPN’s Matt Miller had Taylor going 210th to the Baltimore Ravens at the end of March.

Pro Football Focus

Thirty-two analysts worked on the latest PFF mock-up that was released on Monday and it once again featured just a single Panther.

Pitt has its very own Mr. Irrelevant in this mock draft with Mumpfield going to the Kansas City Chiefs with the 257th pick in the seventh round.

At the combine, Mumpfield posted a 4.59 40 with a 10-second split of 1.54. During his Pitt career, the Georgia native totaled 1,940 yards on 154 receptions and 11 touchdowns. He joined Pitt after one season at Akron in which he was named as a Freshman All-American with 751 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

The 33rd Team

Ian Valentino of The 33rd Team has another single Panther going in the seventh round.

This time, it’s Bartholomew going to the San Francisco 49ers with the 229th pick in the final round of the draft.

At the combine in Indianapolis, Ind., Bartholomew ran an official 4.70 40-yard dash. He totaled 104 receptions for 1,248 yards and 11 touchdowns in 39 games with Pitt.

NFL.com

On Friday, Chad Reuter of NFL.com released his latest seven-round mock draft and it shows a few Pitt players getting selected.

The Dallas Cowboys are slated to take Taylor with the 211th pick in the sixth round. Mumpfield was not far behind with Las Vegas grabbing him with the 213th pick.
