Duquesne Earns Two Transfer Portal Commitments

Duquesne’s women’s basketball team has landed two new transfer portal prospects.
Harriet Ford committed to the Dukes out of Omaha. Ford, ranked as a 78 overall on The Portal Report, is the No. 149 player in the transfer portal out of 1,400+ players to enter from the DI level, according to TPR. Ford is the No. 11 center in the portal, out of all players to enter so far — committed or available. Ford also ranks as the No. 2 freshman center and the No. 16 freshman in the portal overall.
Ford, a 6-foot-3 center out of Australia, played just one season at Omaha. As a rookie, she averaged 19.5 minutes per game (19 games), along with 7.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest. She shot 48% from the field and 50% from the free-throw line.
The Dukes also recently landed a commitment from 6-foot-4 freshman transfer Maja Rohkohl out of Gardner-Webb.
Rohkohl, out of Hannover, Germany, played one season for Gardner-Webb before recently entering the portal. Rohkohl played in 26 games as a rookie, playing 17.9 minutes per contest. She scored 2.5 points per game and grabbed 5.8 rebounds per game. Her numbers earn her the No. 30 overall spot in TPR’s rebounder rankings.
Rohkohl shot 37% from the field and started 17 games in her first season of college ball. Rohkohl grabbed 152 rebounds on the season — 93 defensive and 59 offensive. She also blocked 11 shots and made 61% of her free-throw attempts.
Out of nearly 400 freshman that have entered the portal at the DI level of women’s basketball, Ford and Rohkohl own the top two spots in TPR’s rebounder rankings, respectively.
