Pitt 2026 Targets: A Second QB Option

During Pitt football’s spring camp, the program hosted numerous recruits, including some key targets in the 2026 class.
The Panthers currently have four commits in quarterback Angelo Renda, wide receiver Dylan Wester, outside linebacker Marcus Jennings and safety Isaac Patterson and each of them paid a visit to campus during spring ball.
With a foundation in place, Pitt is now focusing on building the core of the 2026 class. Between previous visits, scheduled official visits and mutual interest between the school and prospect, Pittsburgh Sports Now is taking a look at some of the top targets at each position for the 2026 cycle.
First up, we’re looking at the quarterbacks. The Pitt staff is not shying away from recruiting another signal caller even with Renda committed. There’s a good chance that Pitt takes another quarterback in the class and one target already has an official visit set with the Panthers.
Corey Dailey — Three-star out of Seguin High School in Seguin, Texas.
Dailey was in town at the beginning of spring camp for two practices and not long after, he scheduled an official visit for June 12-14. He’s very interested in Pitt and vice versa.

While Dailey holds offers from primarily FCS schools with Texas State, UTSA, UTRGV, Fordham, Lamar and Incarnate Word, he is a tall quarterback standing at 6-6 with a good arm and plenty of potential. It’s the same way with Renda as he too has limited offers but Pitt is putting trust in developing him.
As a junior, Dailey completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,529 yards and 35 touchdowns, while adding six rushing scores on the ground.
Carter Emanuel — Three-star out of Edgewater High School in Orlando, Fla.
Pitt has been interested in Emanuel since Frank Cignetti Jr. was in charge of the Pitt offense. However, he finally picked up an official offer from the Panthers and the new offensive staff back in January.
He camped at Pitt in 2023 and was back on the South Side on March 24 for an unofficial visit.
The 6-2 205-pound Emanuel holds additional offers from Arkansas, UCF, West Virginia, UConn, USF, Marshall, Charlotte and others. He has an official visit lined up at UConn at the end of May.
It’ll be interesting to see if Pitt gets Emanuel on campus for an official visit with Renda and Dailey already locked in to visit in June.
Josiah Oxendine — Three-star out of Forest Hills High School in Marshville, N.C.
Oxendine is a quarterback option that is highly interested in Pitt and has visited the program several times, including a few gameday visits in the fall. Oxendine has been recruited by Pitt before he took a snap in high school.
He tells PSN that Pitt has contacted him about coming down for a spring workout at his high school. Oxendine is coming off a foot injury.
The 6-1, 195-pound signal caller holds offers from Pitt, Tennessee, Akron, Marshall, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Florida A&M and Appalachian State.
