Former Pitt forward Federiko Federiko is in the transfer portal once again after one season at Texas Tech.

According to a report by Tobias Bass of The Athletic, Federiko has heard from the following programs since entering the portal: Texas A&M, Ohio State, Indiana, Auburn, NC State, and Virginia.

Federiko spent two seasons with Pitt from 2022-24. Federiko’s production and minutes decreased from his sophomore to his junior season with the Panthers. After averaging 6.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in year one (23.4 minutes per game), he went on to average 4.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game last season in 21.3 minutes per game. Federiko had seven games with at least eight points, including two games in double-digit scoring.

The 6’11” center started 53 of 68 games for Pitt and had back-to-back seasons with a top-3 block percentage in the ACC.

Federiko was the first Panther to hit the transfer portal after last season once Pitt finished 22-11 and 12-8 in conference play. He was then joined by Will Jeffress in the portal, who eventually committed to Louisiana Tech. Jeffress then suffered a season-ending injury just several games into his Louisiana Tech tenure.

This year for the Red Raiders, Federiko played in 35 games, averaging a career-low 18.9 minutes per game. He did shoot a career-best 74% from the field this season, while making just 49% of his free-throw attempts. Federiko averaged 5.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for Grant McCasland’s squad, which advanced all the way to the Elite Eight. In an Elite Eight loss to Florida, Federiko had four points, two rebounds, and two blocks.
