Previous Pitt Guard Enters Transfer Portal for Fourth Time

Former Pitt guard Femi Odukale has entered the transfer portal for a fourth time.
Odukale spent the first two seasons of his career in Pittsburgh, playing in 53 games for Jeff Capel’s Panthers. Since then, he has spent one season each at Seton Hall, New Mexico State, and Minnesota. He has played 20+ games in five separate seasons, and appears unlikely to receive a waiver for an additional year of eligibility from the NCAA.
This past year, he started 30 games for the Golden Gophers, playing 29.5 minutes per game. Odukale averaged 6.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, which stacks up similarly to his freshman year numbers while at Pitt: 6.6 PPG/2.5 RPG. He had his best statistical season as a sophomore at Pitt, scoring 10.8 PPG and averaging 3.4 assists per game.
Odukale was a three-star recruit in the class of 2020 coming out of a prep year in Massachusetts. He chose Pitt over Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, and others, and then took his talents to the Pirates two years later.
Several players with Pitt connections have entered the transfer portal this spring, including class-of-2020 big man John Hugley who came to Pitt with Odukale. Hugley played at Xavier for Sean Miller last season before entering the portal once again this spring. He will return to Pittsburgh next season, as he committed to Duquesne recently.
Back in 2020, Hugley signed with Jeff Capel and the Pitt Panthers as a four-star center out of Cleveland, Ohio.
Things started out well for Hugley as he averaged 14.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.4 points during his redshirt freshman season.
