Transfer wide receiver Andy Jean had a brief stint with the Pitt football program that lasted from January until April.

After the Pitt spring game, Jean entered the portal looking to land at his third school in five months and he has done just that with a return to the SEC.

Jean has officially signed with the Arkansas Razorbacks, it was announced Sunday. The signing came after he visited the program in Fayetteville, Ark. on Friday.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder entered the portal with three years of eligibility remaining.

Jean had a lot of upside with several years to develop in the Pitt program, but transfers Deuce Spann and Cataurus Hicks passed him in the receiver pecking order. Jean was selected to the Gold Team for the spring game in the X receiver role, but he did not end up playing due to unforeseen circumstances, which eventually led to him leaving the program.

Pitt landed Jean in January from Florida after appearing in just five games in two years with the Gators as he pulled in six receptions for 97 yards.

Out of Miami Northwestern High School, Jean was a four-star recruit, according to Rivals and On3, and owned a loaded top five list of Florida, Georgia, Miami (Fla.), Texas A&M and Alabama.

Jean was the first Pitt wide receiver to enter the portal and was soon joined by Cameron Monteiro. In addition, quarterback Julian Dugger and second-string offensive lineman Terrence Enos Jr. highlighted the other key losses during the spring portal.

Pitt’s receiver room currently consists of scholarship players in top option and junior Kenny Johnson, Raphael Williams, Censere Lee, Cataurus Hicks, Tyreek Robinson, Zion Fowler-El, Deuce Spann, Tony Kinsler, Bryce Yates and Cam Sapp.
